June Wedding On Block Island with Lush Greenery

From their first date at the Topsfield Fair to the farm they now own together, Gillian and Nathaniel have always had agriculture in their hearts. The decor, menu, and entire vibe of their island wedding reflected their love of nature and their role as farmers and purveyors of food.

On a sunny day in June on Block Island, Rhode Island, last year, perched on a cliff high above the Atlantic, the couple wed in a circle ceremony surrounded by family and friends. Event planner extraordinaire Nicole Simeral and her team transformed the 46′ x 125′ Sperry reception tent into a magical and lush setting with illuminated hanging greenery and rustic farm tables draped with overflowing florals. Cheese played a starring role in the festivities, with a cheese tower cake on display and fresh mozzarella and stracciatella, made by the bride herself, served during cocktail hour.
